Somebody stole my art and is selling it in China!

Last year I was commissioned by a friend of mine in Singapore to create an insignia for his gaming clan “Sick Freaking Weirdos.”     Recently a member of his gaming community found that my design has been stolen and is being sold in China on the AliExpress website.

I suppose I should be flattered that somebody thought my design was cool enough to steal.    Unfortunately, after searching through AliExpress.com’s FAQs and information pages I find that  I have no legal recourse.  Since I am not a corporate entity, founder, or legal representative of a corporation there is nothing I can do about this.   There is no protection for an individual artist (unsurprising since this company is based in China).    All I can do is complain in my social media networks.

So if you’re interested in buying official  Mister Sid gear, then please stop by my shop page and don’t buy from AliExpress!
