Sidecar in a Martini Glass garnished with lemon wedge

2 oz Cognac

3/4 oz Lemon juice

3/4 oz Triple sec (or Cointreau or Grand Marnier)

Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass and serve straight up (without ice).

Many places serve a variant where the cocktail glass has had its outside rim rubbed with lemon juice and dipped in sugar. (Similar to a Lemon Drop.)  Let your bartender know whether you want the classic or variant.


Sour Apple Martini

2 Parts Sour Apple Pucker
2 Parts Ketel One Vodka
1 Part Cointreau Orange Liqueur
1 Lemon Twist, or Cherry

Stir gently. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with Lemon Twist, or Cherry

Windex Martini

3 Parts Vodka
1 Part Triple Sec
1 Part Blue Curacao

Serves 2
Add all ingredients into a martini shaker filled with ice.
Shake and strain into 2 well chilled martini glasses.


1 oz Skyy Vodka
1 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
1oz Guava juice
Squeeze of lime

Shake in cocktail shaker and serve up in a chilled glass.
As served at the Bambudda Lounge in San Francisco


1 1/2 ounces vodka
1 ounce triple sec
1 ounce lime juice

Stir all the ingredients with ice. Strain into a chillled tumbler filled with ice. Garnish with a lime twist.


2 ounces vodka
1 ounce cranberry juice
1 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup

Shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Optional: Before pouring the drink, you can moisten the rim of the glass with lime, then coat with sugar. Some people also add finely grated zest of orange to the sugar used to coat the glass with. A dash of Orange Bitters also works really well with this cocktail.

Sake Cosmo

2 ounces Ozeki Karatanba sake
Splash triple sec
Splash cranberry juice

Pour ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake and strain into martini glass. Garnish with wedge of fresh lime.

Ginger Sake Martini

3 parts Sho Chiku Bai sake
splash of triple sec
Splash of pickled ginger juice

Shake with ice and strain into martini glasses containing paper-thin slices of pickled blond ginger.

Fu Manchu

1.5 oz. Jamaican rum (light or white)
.5 oz. Triple Sec
.5 oz. Green Creme De Menthe
.5 oz. lime juice
shaken & served on the rocks.

Torani creme de menthe syrup can also be used. There are some recipe variations.
The concoction should be a toxic green like the eyes of the arch-villain created by author Sax Rohmer.
